Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Death.
Today is February 16, 2022, and it is my birthday! I am 57 years old! That is such a privilege. I celebrate my flawed, imperfect, grey haired self. So many of us think we can’t celebrate or have other Just Show Up for each other because there are restrictions, but that is not true. Today I received messages on Facebook, text and emails and I read every single message. (Ha! I am choking up!) I looked at every emoji and thought about how I knew each and every person that sent a message and it meant the world to me. Don’t ever under estimate the power of Just Showing Up by sharing a kind message. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the messages, they mean the world to me. Now I am going to celebrate! However that looks today. I painted my toe nails, I groomed and ready to celebrate on my own because nobody is going to be home! I even have my beautiful sash that my daughter Jadyn bought me and it lights up! Whatever it takes… Celebrate today. Celebrate you and celebrate me. Happy Birthday to me!

Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death.
Today we are in snowy Orillia Ontario. We had a few things that we needed to do here, so we decided to make it an adventure because that is the choice that we always get to make. Even if you have to go and do something that you don’t feel like doing, that does not mean you cannot make it a great adventure otherwise. So, it is snowing and we are not allowed to go in restaurants (but we have take out!!) We went to Thai Plate in Orillia. It is one of our favourite places, we have our food and we are now sitting on the main street eating our food, looking at the trees enjoying our lunch. As I always say, we always have a choice. We don’t always have the choice we wish we had… We wish we could sit IN the Thai Plate and I kind of wish we did not have to come to Orillia in the first place. However, we are going to choose to have fun, to do what we can do, and enjoy this great food. Remember, no matter what you have to do, no matter what the circumstances are… make it fun and enjoy your day. Thanks everyone! Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death.
Earlier in the week we shared a post about finding something good in every day. We have had wonderful feedback and conversation about that one post. Personally, I think a lot of it has to do with everything going on during the last few weeks in our world. Most of our conversation is about the importance of being kind to each other. For this week, we thought we could look deeper into kindness and Geordie found this fun short video to help do just that. Did you know there are scientifically proven benefits to being kind? It is contagious, teachable, and makes you feel all fuzzy inside. Always be kind to each other. Thank you for always Just Showing Up for us! Have a great week everyone! Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death. I am excited to share some great resources with you today. I am committed to ongoing learning and teaching by example, so that I can live well, grieve well and eventually die well, and teach others to do the same. How do we do that? We connect and support each other and learn along the way. I am committed to ongoing learning, have had coaches, attended more webinars than I can count and I read books continuously. Here are some books that have been very meaningful for me: (see links below...) We are here to learn until our last breath. Don’t be overwhelmed, one book at a time, one chapter at a time even buying the book is a great start! We can do this better by creating a foundation before grief arrives, or if it has, how we can do it differently, if we empower ourselves. I have shared the websites for these books here.

Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death.
Today I am so excited to officially introduce you to an incredible multimedia platform called WinWinWomen.com. You must go and check out the website! The founder, Paula Fellingham has empowered women around the world, by sharing messages of excellence both personally and professionally, and now created this online platform. She has invited over 100 women experts to share messages on topics women are interested in around the world. I have the privilege of hosting my own show called Navigating Grief with Heart and Humour where I am talking about preparing for and navigating grief, transitions and end of life. Every Wednesday at 10am I am able to share my show. What I love so much is the first 30 minutes, I am able to share content, upload and archive and the second 30 minutes is non-recorded conversation. We can talk about the content or support one another and learn from one another. This platform is amazing and I have had the opportunity to listen to the other shows. They are incredible and share such important messages. I encourage you to check out WinWinWomen.com and listen to Paula’s message. If you would like to be a show host and have a message to share, please connect with me. I welcome ALL women (and men too!) to this platform. We all want our mothers, co-workers and daughters to be the best version of themselves. Welcome to WinWinWomen! We care, connect and collaborate with all women!
Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death.
I am here with my lovely daughter Jadyn. Today we are talking about the fact that Gratitude is something that can make life better. Would you agree? “Apparently!” We can always find things to be grateful for, whether we are an adult, a teenager, navigating a pandemic or working through whatever we are going through. Here is a quote from my wonderful friend Patch Adams. I live in gratitude, it is one of my huge and important medicines That’s so cool. I have a habit (every single day, no matter what I am going through) to name 10 things I am grateful for. I have done it for years. “I had forgotten about that until this very moment” I know. I am now going to put you on the spot. Can you name 5 things that you are grateful for despite the pandemic and everything that is going on? (Jadyn) I am grateful for: Young Drivers because now I have my G2 drivers License My teachers because they are still teaching me online at school My friends and my boyfriend because they are a good support system and keep me sane! For my parents, even though they are making me do the dishes right now (which I am currently avoiding by sitting right here) Also grateful for… sweaters. It is cold in our house. There is always something to be grateful for. I live in gratitude, no matter what is happening in my life. Even if I need t go back to the basics. I can see, I can hear, I have a home, I have pets and family. I encourage you to live in gratitude, find things to be grateful for every day. I have a gratitude journal, so on the hard days you can remember. I am grateful for my friend Judy, who gave me this beautiful book which I have turned into my gratitude journal. Live in gratitude. There is something to be grateful for no matter what we are going through. I would love for you to share what you are grateful for in the comments below. Thanks everyone! It doesn't take much to make the difference for someone.
A hug, text, email, call, kind word. Caring. Sharing. Loving. An act of kindness. 5 minutes, 10 minutes. A wave, smile, compliment. Let's be intentional. Let's Just Show Up no matter what. Do something. Say something. Reach out. I am re-sharing Johnny Reid's beautiful song and video to remind us all. I love you all. Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death.
Here it is, the fourth week of my Grief, Joy and the Holidays Blogs, and you know what? We have had SO many plans get cancelled. Everything has changed. Once again, there is grief “I cannot believe that happened” so we need to create our joy. Everyone remembers the song If you can’t be with the ones you love… love the ones you’re with? We are going to love everybody around us – our dog, our trees and nature and our neighbour and make the best of it. We are going to intentionally create more joy. I have been dressed like this all day, I went downtown like this and waved and smiled at everyone. To each and every one of you, I wish you tremendous joy, gratitude and the ability and choice to love the one you are with. Love nature, hug a tree, a dog, everyone and everything around you. These are the things that make a difference. Even in the midst of grief and change. Thank you every one and I love you with all my heart.

Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death.
I am recording this on December 1, 2021, and I wanted to talk about grief, joy and the holidays. Maybe you are celebrating Hanukkah, Kwanza, Christmas or the holidays. Whichever your beliefs are, December tends to be a time of reflection or celebration. Some people are SO excited for the holidays. They love the lights, the trees and the gifts. For others it is the hardest time of the year. That is the part that I would like to change. First of all, for those that are celebrating Christmas they are so stressed. They are so overwhelmed and so over worked. My question is... What can you do to change that? I encourage you to watch this entire (short) video for more great tips. We will be talking about this throughout the month, and if you have any great ideas you would like to share please let us know! Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death.
I have often talked about the fact that we need to be intentional about creating our own happiness, joy and bringing that into our lives. We have been VERY intentional about that, especially in the last 18 months in this pandemic. Many of you have met Miss Sadie, our adoptive whoodle, and has turned out to be a wonderful dog. Then we thought we needed to create even more… so we moved back to Huntsville, into a lovely new home with a fireplace and we are very happy. So, one more thing we added to have a bit more joy, was to adopt two little kittens! Why? Because kittens add a lot of joy! I am introducing you to Calvin and Hobbes, our 9 week old kittens. I am so delighted. First our kids love the kittens and also one of the things I know is that when our kids leave after grade 12, I will be grieving tremendously so these kittens are also for me (and of course Geordie… who loves them as well in spite of himself) I love these kittens. I would encourage everyone to get a pet, and if you cannot, find other ways to create more happiness in your life. For us, we are going to create some joy in your life by sharing our two kittens Calvin and Hobbes who are spectacular. Enjoy some of these pictures! Hi everyone, Yvonne Heath here with Love Your Life to Death.
It is fall here in Muskoka, and I LOVE the changing of the seasons. It has been an amazing fall, the trees have been extraordinary, and the leaves are yellow, orange and glowing red. Now with that joy, also comes the grief. The letting go, the raking of the leaves, (and we have several to rake). There are lots of work, and that is OK. I see the changing of the seasons as an opportunity. Getting rid of the old and starting new again. We are getting ready for the next season which is winter. I choose to embrace winter and to prepare for it before it arrives. I remember with the changing of the seasons, everything is temporary. When life is wonderful, I celebrate it, knowing that things will change (Bless You!) And when I am challenged… I know that is also temporary and things will change again. That is what the seasons remind me of. I would love to hear what you think about fall and winter coming and what you are celebrating! Enjoy your leaves! Sometimes we all need a pep talk. (I know I do!) A friend recently shared this video with me from "The Kid President" and I wanted you to see it as well. I think it will make you smile. As you are watching the video, I would encourage you to take some time to reflect on the last few weeks. After the video, I ask you... Will this change your perspective on the next few weeks?
