About Yvonne

"Yvonne Heath is a beacon - a shining light - in a world that needs to take matters to do with
death and bring them out of the closet. When we can truly love our lives to death, then we,
our families and our friends become empowered.  You go girl!"

Peter Jennings, TV Host, Speaker and author of Shark Assault

I am a wife, mother to three amazing children and a nurse since 1988. I have worked in ten different hospitals, in most departments from obstetrics to chemotherapy and hospice.

As a registered nurse, I witnessed our grief phobic society, and how our reluctance to talk about, plan and prepare for grief, death and dying causes excessive suffering personally, professionally in life, and at the end of life.

I realized that I was suffering too. It’s time for change. I am helping to create this culture of change through my book, speaking, workshops, social media, radio, television and most recently my
 I Just Showed Up Campaign.

When we learn to talk about and plan for grief, something amazing happens. We live more fully and we suffer less at the end of our life. Our loved ones and workplaces suffer less and are able to move through their grief.
